Governance

Band Governance

A primary objective of the Chief and Council is to continue to develop and strengthen the governance and administrative structure of the Poplar River First Nation. We would like to continue to build on the Poplar River Nation's strengths and open up opportunities for the administration of a range of programs within the community. In order to meet this objective a series of community meetings to solicit community input and feedback on the development of improved band governance and accountability systems are planned for this year.
